the heart of life is good

sometimes life takes a sudden turn. we're caught be surprise and stumble. but we learn to get up and try to figure out where we’re headed. and hopefully enjoy the ride.

---------------------------------------------------

i hate to see you cry

lying there in that position

there's things you need to hear

so turn off your tears

and listen

pain throws your heart to the ground

love turns the whole thing around

no, it wont all go the way it should

but I know the heart of life is good

you know it's nothin' new

bad news never had good timing

then the circle of your friends

will defend the silver lining

pain throws your heart to the ground

love turns the whole thing around

no it won't all go the way it should

but I know the heart of life is good

pain throws your heart to the ground

love turns the whole thing around

fear is a friend who is misunderstood

but I know the heart of life is good

i know it's good.

love is tricky...

Love is tricky

It is never mundane or daily.

You can never get used to it.

You have to walk with it,

then let it walk with you.

You can never balk.

It moves you like the tide.

It takes you out to sea,

then lays you on the beach again.

Today’s struggling pain is the foundation for a certain stride through the heavens.

You can run from it,

But you can never say no.

It includes everyone.

a WOMAN's right to refuse arrest

got this from a college friend's multiply. spread this to all the girls you know.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The right to refuse .. (sa 'PINAS to ha..)

Please pass this on to your wife, girlfriends; and ladies, you may want to
forward this to any female relatives who may need to know this important
information.

I was talking with a lawyer friend of mine. We were discussing the law and
women`s rights. She told me about this incident - a young girl was raped by
a man posing as a plain clothes officer; he asked her to come to the police
station when she and her male friend didn't have a driver`s license to
show. He sent the boy off to get his license and asked the girl to
accompany him to the police station. Took her instead to an isolated area
where the horrendous crime was committed.

In fact, the law clearly states that between 6 pm and 6 am, a woman has the
right to REFUSE to go to the Police Station, even if an arrest warrant has
been issued against her. It is a procedural issue that a woman can be
arrested between 6 pm and 6 am ONLY IF she is arrested by a woman officer
and taken to an ALL-WOMEN police station. And if she is arrested by a male
officer, it has to be proven that a woman officer was on duty at the time
of arrest.

It is good for us to know our rights. To what extent it comes of use
remains to be seen in any situation. But as they say, knowledge is power.
Just thought I`d share this with you.

I did not know this and am sure lot of us will not know this - please be
informed.... And pass on this info to everyone you know.......

Baaad day...

It’s just quarter before noon, and yet I’m already swearing to the heavens for how the day is turning out.

I just had caught Bus 139 when I suddenly remembered not blowing off the candle on my shelf beside the bed. Since the candle was above a stack of books, the mental image of the lit candle toppling over and burning the books then the curtains, then the bed, then our unit, then the whole condo flashed before my eyes (and consequently me being thrown to prison… flashes of Flor Contemplacion followed), so I hurriedly alighted at the next bus stop, which, thankfully, was just before the flyover. Running to the condo, I swore my very heavy backpack and my incapacity to not pack too much stuff for rowing this evening.

When I got to the condo, lo and behold, I couldn’t open the frigging gate because my housemates had already left, and of course, locked the gate. I had to lend the gate key to my roommate because I was going home late tonight (because of rowing), and we hadn’t duplicated the key (ang mahal kasi. Imagine, $12 for a frigging piece of metal…). By this time, my positively heeeeeaaaaaaavy backpack has positively worn me out.

To spare myself from the ire of my housemates (from having left the candle burning and not having the key copied, and possibly having burned the condo down), I called up my roommate so that I can meet her and get the gate key. But first, I had to inform my Project Manager that I couldn’t make it to the office this morning. Off I went to Paya Lebar MRT station and the saga to my roommate’s office began. Her office was somewhere near the Paya Lebar Airport Road near a dead-end after the loop… Guided only by her SMS instructions, I hailed a cab whose driver didn’t have any idea where the office was. Well, ako din naman. Even with a map, I still couldn’t figure it out (maps, directions, and I don’t mix well. it’s hereditary). After two wrong turns and the nth SMS/phone call, I finally saw her with the key.

The only saving grace of this whole brouhaha was the very nice cabbie who didn’t complain when I gave hazy directions and who didn’t charge another flag-down when I asked him to go back to the Paya Lebar MRT station after picking up the key from my roommate. He was even willing to listen to my story, and told me that going back was the right thing to do.

At the MRT station, I faintly heard a siren going off and my heart skipped a lot of beats (no, not just A beat). From the MRT platform, I saw that the siren came from an ambulance, and not a fire truck, passing by. (Me and my imagination. Paya Lebar is sooooo far from my condo. Surely there had to be another fire station near our place). Still, I couldn’t keep myself from fretting unnecessarily (which is also hereditary).

When I finally alighted at my bus stop, I checked the sky for dark smoke coming from a burning building. There was none. But still, I ran, heavy backpack and all. I got to our unit. No smoke was emanating from the crack between the door and the floor. Not even a whiff. I opened my bedroom door.

The freakin’ candle wasn’t even lighted.

I was sooooooooo relieved, yet irked at the same time. Relieved that I didn’t burn the condo down, hence sparing myself from doing a Flor-Contemplation-story, and irked (at myself) that the memory of blowing off the candle escaped me (again, this is hereditary). Having caught my breath and calmed down, I wanted to bawl over and bang my very stupid head on the floor.

The day isn’t even half done yet and I’m already sooo freakin tired…

Moral for the day: don’t light stupid scented candles in the morning when you’re hurrying to the office. You wouldn’t notice the scent anyway, and even if you did, it wouldn’t take away the stress of the early morning rush.

OR have the key duplicated already.

OR go see a shrink.

My Life Analysis: does it really come to this?

sometimes, we wonder "where" we are in our life. it's amazing to find links that actually measure life's success. based on what and who? I was curious, so I took the test and here are the results.

no reason to jump off a cliff. but of course, there is always room for improvement, big rooms in fact or a whole flat. Hahaha! =P

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This Is My Life, Rated
Life: 7.1
Mind: 6.6
Body: 9.3
Spirit: 7.1
Friends/Family: 5
Love: 6.9
Finance: 7.1
Take the Rate My Life Quiz

Life: Your life rating is a score of the sum total of your life, and accounts for how satisfied, successful, balanced, capable, valuable, and happy you are. The quiz attempts to put a number on the summation of all of these things, based on your answers. Your life score is reasonably high. This means that you are on a good path. Continue doing what is working and set about to improve in areas which continue to lag. Do this starting today and you will begin to reap the benefits immediately.

Mind: Your mind rating is a score of your mind's clarity, ability, and health. Higher scores indicate an advancement in knowledge, clear and capable thinking, high mental health, and pure thought free of interference. Your mind score is not bad, but could be improved upon. Your mental health is not weak, but you are not achieving full mental clarity and function. Learn how to unclutter your mind. Keep learning, keep improving, continue moving forward.

Body: Your body rating measures your body's health, fitness, and general wellness. A healthy body contributes to a happy life, however many of us are lacking in this area. You have an excellent body score, which means you are incredibly focused on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Continue in that focus, and your body will remain healthy and strong.

Spirit: Your spirit rating seeks to capture in a number that elusive quality which is found in your faith, your attitude, and your philosophy on life. A higher score indicates a greater sense of inner peace and balance. Your spirit score is relatively high, which means you are rewarded by your beliefs. Spirituality is clearly important to do. Never let it slip, and continue to learn and grow.

Friends/Family: Your friends and family rating measures your relationships with those around you, and is based on how large, healthy, and dependable your social network is. Your friends and family score is not bad but can be improved. Maintain your current social net, while you try to expand it. Try new things and form new friendships. You will be rewarded greatly.

Love: Your love rating is a measure of your current romantic situation. Sharing your heart with another person is one of life's most glorious, terrifying, rewarding experiences. Your love score is in good shape, meaning that things are going well. Do all you can to maintain it, and continue to grow and move ahead.

Finance: Your finance rating is a score that rates your current financial health and stability. You have a rather good financial score, which is not all that common these days. Keep doing what works. Avoid common pitfalls and save for the future. You will be glad you did.

big girls don't cry

...

I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry

The path that I'm walking
I must go alone
I must take the baby steps 'til I'm full grown, full grown
Fairytales don't always have a happy ending, do they?
And I foresee the dark ahead if I stay

head over feet...

9 years and 6 months ago, this song faintly crept from joanna ang's room into my mind...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had no choice but to hear you

You stated your case time and again

I thought about it

You treat me like I'm a princess

I'm not used to liking that

You ask how my day was

You've already won me over in spite of me

Don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet

Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are

I couldn't help it

It's all your fault

Your love is think and it swallowed me whole

You're so much braver than I gave you credit for

That's not lip service

You are the bearer of unconditional things

You held your breath and the door for me

Thanks for your patience

You're the best listener that I've ever met

You're my best friend

Best friend with benefits

What took me so long

I've never felt this healthy before

I've never wanted something rational

I am aware now

I am aware now

25. When you find out your friend is pregnant you congratulate her, instead of thinking of it as THE scandal of the century.

SILENCE

This is one of the many memorable sections in Hillary Clinton's autobiog "Living History", my MRT reading material for the past month...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Too many women in too many countries
speak the same language of silence.

My grandmother was always silent, always aggrieved.
Only her husband had the cosmic right (or so it was said)
to speak and be heard.

They say it is different now.
(After all, I am always vocal and my grandmother thinks I talk too much)
But sometimes I wonder.

When a woman shares her thoughts, as some women do,
graciously, it is allowed.

When a woman fights for power, as all women would like
to, quietly or loudly, it is questioned.

And yet, there must be freedom — if we are to speak

And yes, there must be power — if we are to be heard.

And when we have both (freedom and power) let us now be
understood.

We seek only to give words to those who cannot speak
(too many women in too many countries)

I seek to forget the sorrows of my grandmother's silence.

Top 20 Hot Female Athletes

currently my role models. see them at Barstool Sports.

Mejo "macho" (to the point of being bastos) nga lang ang tone ng article. But he may be telling the truth.

These are chicks of brawn and beauty. So who says that these two should be mutually exclusive?

Case in point: Lokelani McMichael (triathlon)

enviable hotness.

If I had my life to live over

"If I had my life to live over,

I'd dare to make more mistakes next time. I'd relax;

I'd limber up.

I would be sillier than I have been this trip.

I would take fewer things seriously.

I would take more chances.

I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers.

I would eat more ice cream and less beans.

I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I'd have fewer imaginary ones.

You see, I'm one of those people who lived sensibly and sanely hour after hour, day after day. Oh, I had my moments, and if I had to do it over again, I'd have more of them. In fact, I'd try to have nothing else. Just moments, one after the other, instead of living so many years ahead of each day. I've been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a raincoat, and a parachute. If I had it to do over again, I would travel lighter than I have.

If I had my life to live over again, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. I would go to more dance; I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies.

If I love You...

I’m up there waiting for you to come down the aisle

And I know that you don’t want to come

I know you don’t want to come

But that you’ll come anyway because you love me

and if I love you

if I love

You

not the woman that I’m trying to make you be

not the woman that I hope you’d become

but you

if I did, I wouldn’t be up there waiting for you
I would be letting you go.

… I really wish that you didn’t think

I wish that you knew.

Burke’s Wedding Vows

I could promise to hold you and cherish you

I could promise to be there in sickness and in health

I could say till death do us part

But I won’t

Those vows are for optimistic couples

The ones full of hope

And I do not stand here on my wedding day

optimistic or full of hope

I am not optimistic, I am not hopeful

I am sure

I am steady

And I know

I am a heart man

I take them apart, I put them back together

I hold them in my hands

I am a heart man

So this I am sure

you are my partner, my lover, my very best friend

My heart, my heart beats for you

And on this day, the day of our wedding, I promise you this

I promise you to lay my heart in the palm of your hands

I promise you

... it's the school I CHOOSE.

today, the Eagles lost against the Archers ...

why does the basketball team have this psychological problem? Just when the team makes a big win, a bigger slump is almost always sure to follow. I have noticed this pattern for years now, starting when the team got strong circa late-1990's (nung nasa college pa ako). And this problem persists even with the string of stellar coaches and players.

Is it a problem of over-confidence? Caving in the pressure to perform? Angst or pamimilosopiya about not deserving the win? Kulang sa libog or sa Viagra? Or baka sobra naman tapos naubos dahil nag-celebrate ng panalo?

It's clearly not a physical problem. It's all in their heads.

heck, win or lose, it's the school I CHOOSE. ANIMO!

nothing more needs to be said.

HARANA...

Minsan, may isang dalaga. Nasa kolehiyo sya, second year.

Walang ice cream.

------ Circa Jan1998 ------

HARANA
Parokya ni Edgar

uso pa ba ang harana
marahil ikaw ay nagtataka
sino ba 'tong mukhang gago
nagkandarapa sa pagkanta
at nasisintunado sa kaba

may'rong dalang mga rosas
suot na may maong na kupas
at naryan pa ang barkada
naka-porma't naka-barong
sa awiting daig pa ang minus one
at sing-along

puno ang langit ng bitwin
at kay lamig pa ng hangin
sa 'yong tingin ako'y nababaliw giliw
at sa awitin kong ito
sana'y maibigan mo
ibubohos ko ang buong puso ko
sa isang munting harana
para sa'yo

di ba parang isang sine
isang pelikulang romantiko
di ba't ikaw ang bidang artista
at ako ang 'yong leading man
sa istoryang nagwawakas
sa pag-ibig na wagas

puno ang langit ng bitwin
at kay lamig pa ng hangin
sa 'yong tingin ako'y nababaliw giliw
at sa awitin kong ito
sana'y maibigan mo
ibubohos ko ang buong puso ko
sa isang munting harana
para sa 'yo

Uso pa ba ang harana
Marahil ngayo'y alam mo na
Basta para sa 'yo aking hirang
Kahit na magmukhang hibang

Tutupdin ang lahat liyag
Pagka't ako'y iyong bihag
At mahal kita sinta….

ONLY YOU
The Platters

Only you can make this world seem right
Only you can make the darkness bright.
Only you and you alone
Can thrill me like you do
And fill my heart with love for only you.

Only you can make this change in me,
For it's true, you are my destiny.
When you hold my hand,
I understand the magic that you do.

You're my dream come true,
My one and only you.

One and only you.

FALLIN’
Teri de Sario

I'm afraid to fly
And I don't know why
I'm jealous of the people who
Are not afraid to die

It's just that I recall
Back when I was small
Someone promised
that they'd catch me
And then they let me fall

And now I'm fallin'
Fallin' fast again
Why do I always take a fall
When I fall in love

You think by now I've learned
Play with fire you get burned
But fire can be also warm
And that's why I return

Turn and walk away
That's what I should do
My head says go and find the door
My heart says I'll find you

And now I'm fallin', fallin’ fast again
Why do I always take a fall when I fall in love

It always turns out the same
Loving someone, losing myself
Only got me to blame

Help me im fallin fallin
Catch me if you can
Maybe this time I'll have it all
Maybe I’ll take it after all
Maybe this time I won’t fall
When I fall in love

NOT-SO-VITAL STATISTICS

I posted the entry below on Jul 7, '06 6:22 AM.

After 1 year, 1 month, and 20 days, I'm proud to say that I've finally achieved my ideal weight (operative word = "my"). Still working on the "statistics" though. Hahahaa.

What did I do?

- went to Singapore, hence, I stopped eating with BF (so hindi ko na sya sinasabayan)

- nakakatamad magluto for 1 person, so di na rin ako masyadong nagluluto (at kumakain) sa house ngayon

- commute and walk to work/home carrying 2 kilos-worth of laptop and kikay stuff for approx 2 hours a day

- less rice & carbs

- fruit or salad (no mayo) for dinner

- normal meal for lunch

- 1 piece of toast, with minimal spread, and 1 cup of non-fat milk for breakfast

Surprising results. And I didn't have to give up my once-a-month Ruffles and dark chocolate craving.

So kung gusto nyong pumayat, pumunta na rin kayong Singapore. Hahahaha!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOT-SO-VITAL STATISTICS

I have gained soooooooo much weight. I'm bursting out of my jeans, shirts, undies, and what-have-you. And i refuse to shop for new clothes as it will not motivate me to force myself to fit into my now-tight wardrobe. I need the motivation. I need to lose weight. FAST.

So, starting this week, I tried a modified South Beach-Oprah diet: less carbs/starches and more lean meat, fish, and veggies. I'm mortified to be without fruits, so I still eat fruits daily. My current favorite is half-pineapple sprinkled with a little salt.

Also starting this week, I did at least 30-minute cardio exercises everyday. I only rested last Thursday. But I walked from the office all the way home, which is a 30-minute walk, so I guess that counted.

I've also made a promise to myself that my measurements would go down. So here's the baseline (never mind that the whole cyberworld will be privy to such private details. Nonetheless, like I said, I need the motivation. This shall keep me in line:

Will be checking next week if there is any progress. If none, I'll be forced to resort to appetite-reducing-metabolism-accelerator pills. I swear.

I am a woman with a mission.

I got this message from a dear friend. Though at first I thought it was more apt for what she's going through, I felt that the article hit me too.

Am I waiting? For what? To be ready? To grow up? I'm also waiting for an answer...

THE SACRAMENT OF WAITING
by James Donelan, SJ

The English poet John Milton once wrote that those who serve only stand and wait. I think I would go further and say that those who wait render the highest form of service. Waiting requires more self-discipline, more self-control and emotional maturity, more unshakeable faith in our cause, more unwavering hope in the future, more sustaining love in our hearts that the great deeds of derring-do that go by the name of action.

Waiting is a mystery – a natural sacrament of life – there is a meaning hidden in all the times we have to wait. It must be an important mystery because there is so much waiting in our lives.

Every day is filled with those little moments of waiting – testing our patience and our nerves, schooling us in self-control – We wait for meals to be served, for a letter to arrive, for a friend to call or show up for a date. We wait in line at cinemas and theaters, concert and circuses. Our airline terminals, railway stations and bus depots are great temples of waiting filled with men and women who wait in joy for the arrival of a loved one – or wait in sadness to saygoodbye and give that last wave of the hand. We wait for birthdays and vacations – we wait for Christmas. We wait for spring to come – or autumn – for the rains to begin or to stop.

And we wait for ourselves to grow from childhood to maturity. We wait for those inner voices that tell us when we are ready for the next stop. We wait for graduation, for our first job, our first promotion. We wait for success and recognition. We wait to grow up – to reach the stage where we make our decisions.

We cannot remove this waiting from our lives. It is part of the tapestry of living – the fabric in which the threads are woven that tells the story of our lives.

Yet the current philosophies would have us forget the need to wait, "grab all the gusto you can get." So read one of America's great beer advertisement – Get it now. Instant pleasure – Instant Transcendence. Don't wait for anything. Life is short – Eat, drink and be merry because tomorrow you'll die. And so they rationalize us into accepting unlicensed and irresponsible freedom – premarital sex and commitment – against expecting anything of anybody, or allowing them to expect anything of us – against vows and promises – against duty and responsibility – against dropping any anchors in the currents of our life that will cause us to hold and wait.

This may be the correct prescriptions for pleasure – but even that is fleeting and doubtful – what was it Shakespeare said about the mad pursuit of pleasure – "Past reason hunted, and once had, past reason hated". No if we wish to be real human beings, spirit as well as flesh, soul as well as heart, we have to learn to wait. For if not we never learn to love someone other than ourselves.

For most of all, waiting means waiting for someone else. It is a mystery, brushing by our face everyday like a stray wind or a leaf falling from a tree. Anyone who has ever loved knows how much waiting goes into it – how much waiting is important for love to grow – to flourish through a lifetime.

Why is this? Why can't we have right now what we so desperately want and need? Why must we wait – 2 years, 3 years, 5 years and seemingly waste so much time? You might as well ask why a tree should take so long to bear fruit – the seed to flower – carbon to change into diamond.

There is no simple answer – no more that there is to life's other demands – having to say goodbye to someone you love because either you or they have already made other commitments; or because they have to grow and find the meaning of their own lives – having yourself to leave home and loved ones to find your own path – Goodbyes, like waiting, are also sacraments of our lives.

All we know is that growth – the budding, the flowering of love needs patient waiting. We have to give each other time to grow. There is no way we can make someone else truly love us or we them, except through time. So we give each other that mysterious gift of waiting – of being present without making demands or asking rewards. But there is life in the gift we give.

So lovers wait for each other – until they can see things the same way – or let each other freely see things in quite different ways.

There are times when lovers hurt each other and cannot regain the balance and intimacy of the way they were. They have to wait – in silence – but still present to each other – until the pain subsides to an ache and then only a memory and the threads of the tapestry can be woven together again in a single love story.

What do we lose when we refuse to wait? When we try to find short cuts through life – when we try to incubate love and rush blindly and foolishly into a commitment we are neither mature nor responsible enough to assume? We lose the hope of ever truly loving, of being loved.

Think of all the great love stories of history and literature – Isn't it of their very essence that they are filled with this strange but common mystery – that waiting is part of the substance – the basic fabric – against which the story of that true love is written?

How can we ever either find life or true love if we are too impatient to wait for it?

TRUE or FALSE?
(from Raffy's bulletin. comment ko ung mga naka-italicize)

Girl facts:
When you catch a girl glancing at you, she wants you to look back and smile
When a girl bumps into your arm while walking with you she wants you to hold her hand
When she wants a hug she will just stand there
When u break a girls heart she still feels it even when you see each other 3 years later (hindi lang 3 years...)
When a girl is quiet, millions of things are running through her mind (like cursing you, and beheading you with a butter knife)
When a girl is not arguing, she is thinking deeply
When a girl looks at you with eyes full of questions, she is wondering how long you will be around (at iniisip: bakit ang tanga-tanga mo?)
When a girl answers, "I'm fine," after a few seconds, she is not at all fine (thinking: punyeta, manhid ka ba?)
When a girl stares at you, she is wondering why you are playing games
When a girl lays her head on your chest, she is wishing for you to be hers forever
When a girl says she can't live without you, she has made up her mind that you are her future
When a girl says, "I miss you," no one in this world can miss you more than that
When a girl is mean to you after a break-up she wants you back, but shes scared she'll get hurt and knows you're gone forever

Guy Facts:
When a guy calls you, he wants to be with you
When a guy is quiet, He's listening to you (or he's asleep)...
When a guy is not arguing, He realizes he's wrong (or he's praying that you'll shut up)
When a guy says, "I'm fine." after a few minutes he means it
When a guy stares at you, he wishes you would care about him and wonders if you do (or you have something between your teeth and he's too embarrased to point it out)
When your laying your head on a guy's chest, he has the world
When a guy calls/texts you every day, he is in love
When a (good) guy tells you he loves you, he means it
When a guy says he can't live without you," he's with you till you're done
When a guy says, "I miss you," he misses you more than you could have ever missed him or anything else

BOREDOM...
is a STATE of MIND

Bakit nga ba ako bored? After 2 months, ngayon ko lang na-feel ang desperation ng boredom. Ang OA. But really, parang ang hirap mag-isip ng gagawin. I have things to do like offline research and study for work, errands, house chores, and all the admin stuff. But in terms of necessary activities for "self-actualization" like fun and leisure, parang wala akong magawa dito. I have so many books to read, but my A.D.D. strikes most of the time. I've started 4 books, and finished none yet so far. Gusto kong pumunta sa beach, pero ang pangit ng Sentosa. Tinatamad akong mag-plan for Bintan or Batam. I'm thinking of doing some athletic/sporty activities para na rin dual purpose: fun and health. Maybe biking or wall-climbing for starters. Para kahit ako lang mag-isa, masaya pa rin. Gen found a volleyball group with games every Sunday, so maybe that too. I'm still thinking if badminton is a sport for me. Boring kasi. Then maybe late this year, learn how to dive. And I need to plan my Euro-trip with Paula.

OK, brake muna. First things first. I need to organize & project manage my life: desired future state --> current state --> gap analysis --> measurable goals --> action items (take note of milestones, and status update every week)

Umandar ang pagka-OC. Pati buhay, ino-OC. Amen.

Sayad.

I told him that people told me not to take him kasi di daw magaling. But since his slot was the best sched that will fit mine, I signed up. It turned out that the guy behind the desk was Mariano. I wanted the floor to swallow me during the first day of class. He turned out to be a good professor, albeit, in a weird-funny way. I got high grades from him too.

60. Have you ever had a heartbreak while in school? Yes, but not because of someone I met in school. Some high school jerk. Jerk. Jerk.

61. Did you have fun while in college? YES, the BEST 4 years of my life. So far. I almost cried while packing my stuff. After all the flurry of activities, orgs, meetings, inuman, papers, deadlines, terror professors, crushes... the enormity of the whole thing ending dawned on me. I realized that Ateneo was my home for 4 whole years, and I was leaving it. I was sadder leaving school than leaving my real family. But things have to end. We need to move on and grow up. The consolation I hold on to is the fact that I had a great time when I was in college. And that will never leave me.
